At knit group tonight I learned about this new group. They make little yellow ducks, attach a tag and leave them for people to find. It seems like a really cute idea, so I don't need any more projects but... how fun would it be to find one and wonder where it came from.
Check them out.

The Little Yellow Duck Project is a brand new craft initiative aimed at saving lives around the world. It is featured in the May edition of ‘Simply Knitting’ magazine.
If you can knit or crochet you can take part! A variety of well-known designers have created patterns for us, including the knitted toy designer, Alan Dart, and crochet designer, Lisa van Klaveren.
The little yellow ducks are hidden around the community as gifts for others to find. A special tag on each one invites the finder to take their gift home to brighten their day and to visit the LYD Project website to register where they found their gift.
The project has been set up to raise awareness of how we can all save lives by registering to donate blood, bone marrow, organs tissues.
Please help us cover the world in little knitted and crocheted yellow ducks and save lives in the process!
