It is a wet soggy Halloween because it has been raining for 3 days but we need it and it isn't snow. It is also my parents 59th wedding anniversary.
I always wanted a Halloween quilt so I got my fabric out and cut out the squares, I laid them out the other day.
The trees are gorgeous this year, although they are falling like crazy with the rain and we have had 2 slight frosts. My walnuts are all over and the squirrels are happy happy happy.
I got my possum sweater done. I need to weave in the ends and block it but it is basically done. I got this yarn from a friend who has a child in Australia. It is so soft, 60% merino, 30% possum and 10% nylon. It is so nice to work with. I have an entire skein left so need to decide what to make with it.
The camera has been turned on the new nest. Mom and Dad are busy building up the nest from last season in preparation for the new little bundle of joys which will arrive about late March or early April.
The wind has kicked up today and there is talk of a small freeze this week, I have tomatoes coming on and flower blooming. The walnuts are falling off the trees. I actually have 3 walnut trees in the back that have nuts for the first time I have lived here. The squirrels are happy happy happy. The trees are turning and my mums are about done for the season.
My sweater is done ahead of schedule. I am glad to be done with it so I can move on. I found these buttons today, they don't show up very well but they are perfect. I put elbow patches on the sleeves and the pockets are on the side that is what the pink flap is. I always wondered why when our arms and hands hang down the sides pockets are put in the front.
I know I have not posted pictures of my sweater lately. I got the body done did not like it and ripped the whole thing out. I re-started the sweater, have one sleeve to go. I need to find some buttons. I will post a picture soon so you can see what it is like. Since I am designing my own sweater, the name of it is Sidepockets and it has nothing to do with pool.
Dear Dodgers: What are you doing this evening, we need to win this game and the next one to go to the World Series. It ain't gonna happen. I don't know what happened to you this evening but you seriously don't deserve to win this game. I know we got good players out for injuries but you are THE DODGERS, play like it. I would like to say thank you though because I don't get to watch you very often because you don't play here. At least I have gotten to watch you play the last two weeks. Maybe we can do this next year. Still a fan, always a fan, but not a happy fan today.
Another gorgeous sunset, they have been very pretty so deep orange lately. Yesterday morning mommy deer and 4 babies were up in the neighbor's back yard eating. They are so cute when they run and their little white tail flips up.
