When I was in 3rd grade we lived in Carlsbad, NM, went to the Methodist church. During our 3rd grade year in Sunday School we did studies, etc and received a Bible right before school started at the end of summer. I thought we were baptized as well. But maybe not. If my dad was still here he would know. My mother thinks dad did not get us baptized because he wanted us to be an adult and make up our own mind.
Knowing my dad he would have bugged me my whole life until I did. He did not. Which makes me think I had to have been baptized then.
I have looked through all the family records my dad kept, looked through all my records and found nothing. I emailed the Methodist church in Carlsbad but they are not the one I attended and said that church had closed and the records were probably sent to the Conference office in ABQ. So I emailed them and now I wait.
I know you do not have to be baptized to enter Heaven, but now I feel empty that I may not have ever been baptized, it has upset me quite a bit. When I get an answer, if I have not been baptized I will ask my pastor to do so.
