I decided to do a 5 sided granny square out of a large skein of dishcloth yarn. I though the colors were kind of Octoberish.

Sweaterbabe
I have a membership in Sweaterbabe.com. You got a monthly pattern and there are giveaways. I won this cute little sweater kit with the pattern and yarn. The yarn is GOA, a cotton/acrylic blend and very nice to work with. I used all but about 10 yards and made the 12 month size. It took me two days to make this. Her patterns are very well written and this is a pattern I will make for charity sweaters for babies again.

Finally
Finally he stopped long enough and posed for me to get his picture. I sure wish they were here all year long but I enjoy them while I can.

What a Beautiful Tribute
In you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.~Psalm 25:2-3
“Now, we have inscribed a new memory alongside those others. It’s a memory of tragedy and shock, of loss and mourning. But not only of loss and mourning. It’s also a memory of bravery and self-sacrifice, and the love that lays down its life for a friend–even a friend whose name it never knew.“- President George W. Bush, December 11, 2001
I received this today and thought it needed to be shared.

I remember today 10 years ago, it did not seem real when it first happened. I know our lives will never be the same and we need to remember those innocent lives lost. Thank you to all the rescue workers and many thanks to G.W. (thank goodness he was the POTUS at this time). May God watch over us all and bless those who lost someone on this day.

Hello, What is Your Name?
Yesterday afternoon I noticed this little guy just hanging out in the walnut tree. He spent most of the afternoon there. Now he is back this morning. There is a feeder on the deck.

RIP Betty
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
I'd stay in the garden with Him
'Tho the night around me be falling
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear

And the joy we share as we tarry there
