Gutfeld for Mayor

I love Greg Gutfeld, his monologues on The Five are often off the charts. I find him very funny, and very smart. I am also a huge Red Eye fan. I don't believe Weiner should be allowed to run for office ever again, who is say he wont do what he did before and that is just morally wrong. The problem is our politicians have no morals, values, or ethics anymore. Because voter fraud seems to be ok in many states, I would find a way to illegally vote for him.

Gully Washer

Had a storm blow through, dropped them temp 20 degrees in less than 15 minutes, 60-75 mph wind, trees are a mess, power out and I saw a semi in a ditch. I got 1.5" rain in 30 minutes. Here is some of it.

Camp Loopy Project 2 2013

For July we have to do something we have been wanting to do that has been done over a 1,000 times. Did you get that? I have been wanting to make Hey Teach, a summer lace sweater. I wanted to do this in eggplant but they did not have enough, so I am using salmon which is a summer color and giving it long sleeves. Need to find some buttons, must look in my stash.

What to do

with leftover Lamb's Pride yarn. I have several colors about 10-20 yards each. So I found a recipe for dryer balls on facebook yesterday so my weekend project is dryer balls. I have heard from many people this is all they use, helps with soft clothes and static. So my first batch is done and will give them a try when I do laundry next week.

Bravo Cheerios

So there is a new Cheerios commercial that is causing a lot of controversy. Mom is white, the child is a cocoa color and dad is black. Who cares? There are those who want to make something ugly out of everything perhaps because there life is so lacking in anything positive. Instead of making something ugly out of this we need to be celebrating that in this day and age mom and dad still live together and they are raising their child together. I think besides the little girl being extremely cute; children take things literally and when her mom tells her Cheerios make your heart healthy she pours the cereal on her dad's heart. When dad wakes up he is covered in Cheerios and the commercial ends. There is nothing in this commercial that needs to be ugly. Most commercials today are stupid and this rates up there as one of my favs. Bravo Cheerios for making a commercial that puts a positive spin on life.

Camp Loopy Project One

I was going to make a shawl for my project for a Christmas present, but I decided instead to make and design a pair of socks. I call them Crinkled because when they are not on my feet they remind me of those shirts that looked like they would fit a Barbie doll and then when you put them on they stretched out.

Once Again

Sitting here watching Fox News and the tornado in OKC. I have been in that city I can't count the times since I was 5. I know every inch they are talking about and have been there when they had tornadoes. It gives me chills to know that those poor people don't need any more of this. Dear Lord please give them the strength they are going to need to get through yet another tornado. I know those of us in the Midwest are tough but one can only take so much. That eery green sky, the calm before the winds pick up, the sticky air where you can't breath and then it is over. All we can do is pray.

Memorial Day

Somehow saying Thank You does not seem enough to family and friends who fought to protect our freedoms. So to my family and my friends who served to protect my freedom that I often take for granted, Thank You from the bottom of my heart. We need to continue to support our troops as they have even more to protect than ever before.

Spaghetti Art and Flowers

I was looking through my pasta yesterday and not paying attention the already opened box of spaghetti fell out, it just piled up by itself like this. Oh well what are you gonna do? This morning as I was feeding the feral cats and birds I notice this fawn down below, I tried to get her picture but all you can see is her hind quarters behind the tree. She made it safely across the street. Look to the left of the far tree. I thought I might get some pictures of my flowers blooming before the rain poured and it did. The plants in the scalloped bed are my hostas, a yellow rosebush, and a day lily. Along with my bleeding heart and this pink rose bush that got severely trimmed is blooming like crazy. Hey everyone needs a hair cut once in awhile. I don't know what the white/purple flowers are in the hanging basket with the begonia but they are pretty.

What Was More Important?

http://redflagnews.com/headlines/redflag-exclusive-president-obama-was-incapacitated-due-to-staggering-inapt-activities-between-the-hours-of-1800-and-2300-on-the-night-of-Benghazi. Was he partying with hoochie momma, playing golf, hanging out his buddies, smoking dope, what? Unless he was in the ER I don't believe anything was more important. We need answers, not coverups. It just keeps getting more and more obvious what fundamentally transform means and that he clearly is NOT competent to even scoop poop from his own dog.

Petunias, Woodpecker, and Sunset

These petunias were in a hanging basket but I put them in a planter. They just fill out more each day and get more beautiful. The coral/pink ones are changing colors as well. I am not sure what the woodpecker was doing on the stump other than looking for bugs, and the sunset tonight is beautiful.
