I have 2 pink rosebushes by my chimey. One is a climber with regular size roses and the other is a tea cup rose. They are lush with blooms right now and here is another picture of my bleeding heart out of her corner. She is getting huge.

We Know What the Big Branch Means
If you are a frequent flyer year after year at this nest you know what that big branch means. It arrived today and must have been heavy to bring in. The branch will be used for when they start hovering and getting ready to branch and then fledge. They will grab onto the branch and lift it in the air when they hover. One more step to fledging and then soaring with the thermals.
Finally They Are Here
I put my hummingbird feeder out around April 1 and take it down around the first freeze, usually sometime in October or November. I have been waiting for them to show up and finally Sunday chubby is back. I am so excited to see him again.

What is for Breakfast Today?
I can not believe how big the eagles are already, they are wingercising and walking and trying to self feed and stealing food and it won't be long til they are soaring with the thermals.
We had fish of course but dad brought in something small with feathers, who knows what it is but it did not take mom long to de-feather and then feed it to the hungry ones.

Green
No this is not a liberal post about going green or the environment, you should know well enough I don't believe in that crap. I do recycle and don't use pesticides but... anyway we have had so much rain lately that everything is overly green and my hostas are huge this Spring along with my bleeding heart who is out of her corner.
Exercise Your Brain

At the rate I knit and crochet every day my brain should be the healthiest thing in my body. If you don't know how to do either there are many people out there in the universe who would be happy to teach you.

Little Yellow Duck Project
At knit group tonight I learned about this new group. They make little yellow ducks, attach a tag and leave them for people to find. It seems like a really cute idea, so I don't need any more projects but... how fun would it be to find one and wonder where it came from.
Check them out.
http://thelittleyellowduckproject.org/
The Little Yellow Duck Project is a brand new craft initiative aimed at saving lives around the world. It is featured in the May edition of ‘Simply Knitting’ magazine.
If you can knit or crochet you can take part! A variety of well-known designers have created patterns for us, including the knitted toy designer, Alan Dart, and crochet designer, Lisa van Klaveren.
The little yellow ducks are hidden around the community as gifts for others to find. A special tag on each one invites the finder to take their gift home to brighten their day and to visit the LYD Project website to register where they found their gift.
The project has been set up to raise awareness of how we can all save lives by registering to donate blood, bone marrow, organs tissues.
Please help us cover the world in little knitted and crocheted yellow ducks and save lives in the process!

Egg?
Dad brought in lunch and there is an egg, where did it come from. So maybe whatever they are eating had an egg in it and that means some baby wont be born. Nature is not always kind. Look how big they are, where did those dandelion heads go? We are about a month from branching and fledging, say it isn't so.
Camp Loopy
Looks like we are going on safari this summer. So for June you need at least 400 yards and what you would like to see on a safari. You can do the yarn safari and/or the fabric safari. I love giraffes and always wanted to go on an African safari to see all the giraffes, so I am designing a pair of giraffe socks. Stay tuned. If you want to join in the fun check it out: https://www.theloopyewe.com/sheri/

Pray
Today is National Prayer Day. We all know our country is in trouble and needs all the prayers it can get. This is one of my all time favorite pictures. Will you join me in prayer today for our country?

Do You Color?
http://www.purewow.com/arts/Adult-Coloring-Should-Be-Your-New-Hobby-1/?utm_source=realsimple&utm_medium=syndication
I am not talking about coloring your hair. I am talking about getting out the crayons or colored pencils and sitting down and actual coloring. There are some great adult color books out there, (get your head out of the gutter, not that kind of adult). Dover has a lot and I have found several at Michaels as well.
It is still fun to color and it can release stress. So what are you waiting for you can go to the dollar store and get a color book and a small box of crayons for $2. Walmart has the large color books for a dollar as well. So get going, you can even stay in your jammies and head to Walmart and get yourself some cheap therapy.
