What is going on with the voters

OK there is no way Brooke and Jason should have been safe after their performances. And Carly went home. It truly is not a singing contest this year but a fan contest. Obviously whiny Brooke gets the sympathy vote. If you can't fill an hour show don't bore us to tears trying to do so. How many different things did they do last night?

I am off to get ready I volunteered to do bring your brat to work day, we shall see how it goes, I wont do it again, too much work and I have my real work to do.

American Idol

Andrew Lloyd Weber is one strange dude but how intelligent is he, guess he can be weird. Cats and The Phantom, I can't tell you how many times I have seen them.

Syesha finally came out of her shell and showed some personality, for me it was her best performance. I did not recognize the song but I give her an A.

Jason, what rock has he been hiding under. He sang one of THE most beautiful songs and trashed it. Let's see we are down to the final six and he sang a song he never heard of before? I give him an F.

Brooke is way past her time to be there, who dressed her in her pj's. Her second do over. I give her a D.

David A sang the girl song from Phantom, of course he is safe. I give him an A-.

Carly came out of her shell but still not a wow for me. I give her a B+.

David Cook-my fav song of the evening. I figured he would do a Phantom song and he did it justice. I give him an A+.

I predict Jason, Brooke, and Carly for the bottom 3.

PLease Go Away

Are you like me and sick of everytime you turn on the TV there is Obama and Hilary on the screen, I just mute it they make me sick. He claims he is American, yea right and she is well I can't say those words my mom and aunt read this. In the paper a week ago they had great election bumper stickers and my fav is: I Can't Afford a Democrat. NObama. There is one for Chris Dodd--Chris WHO? Someone named Chuck Hagel--WHO? I find it funny that while the democrats are arguing, and being childish McCain is gaining on them just by sitting back and laughing his old ass off.

And for a chuckle in Weird News: An 81 year old Lakewood, Co man felt he was being short sheeted in his toilet paper rolls. He counted 60 rolls sheet by sheet and concluded the amount he was shorted amounted to enough paper for one sit down session per roll. He took his complaint to the Denver Post but the reporter who tried to replicated the shortage found no short sheeting. When I get to be 81 I hope I have better things to do with my time than count toilet paper sheets.

American Idol and Kool-aid

Ok no surprise Kristy Lee had gone past her time, I was hoping it was Brooke but she is almost as big a baby as Ramiele. I feel bad for Elliott Yamin and did not care for his song but his mom who was on every show and staple of the year he was on died a couple of days ago. At least she got to see her son do something he loved.

What was that crap Mariah Carey did, I muted her cos I could not stand it anymore. She is obviously full of herself. OH well Idol is almost over and I really think this show has run its course, time to put it away.

So this morning on the way to work I heard there is a new drug on the elementary playgrounds called Happy Crack: dry kool-aid and sugar. What? There are only two purposes for kool-aid, drinking it as a kid (my brother used to mix grape kool-aid and milk-majorly gross), and using it to dye yarn. Where do people come up with this stuff. Gives a whole new meaning to "Hey Kool-aid Man."

American Idol

Not a Mariah Carey fan, she is almost as spacey as Paula, and speaking of the slut puppy, she was rambling some crap that no one understood, not even Ryan.

David A in leather pants, how wrong and disturbing was that. (A)
Carly was OK, I guess I did not realize that was a Mariah Carey song, thought someone else did it (B)

Brooke boy she is showing her true sucky colors the last 4 weeks, makes me smile (B-)

I think Carly is in danger along with Syesha and Brooke let's hope. Dial Idol has these 3 at the bottom with Syesah on the bottom but they have not been very right this year.

Rent Handbags

You have to be kidding me, why would I want to rent a purse someone else has used, what did they do to the purse, did they treat it like a rental car or worse yet bowling shoes? Apparently if I am a shallow enough person I can rent name bags for as little as $5/week. Let's see if I wanted to sport a $250 purse I would have to rent it for 50 weeks to pay for it, so why don't I just save $5/week for a year and buy one? I can not only rent a purse, but jewelry and sunglasses as well. There are some things you don't use after people have used it that you don't know. Shoes, toothbrushes, underwear and now I put these three items on that list as well. I guess if the market bears it people will pay good money for anything these days. You should see the jewelry, not even if I was dead would I wear it. And the website is so snotty you have to register to see the prices of this stuff they rent.

American Idol

Ok what is with the voters, they have to be morons. I can't believe they voted Michael Johns off. I liked him, but then he was one of the olders ones and they usually dont last that long. So Kristy was safe and yes Syesha belonged in the bottom three. I don't know that I have seen shock on faces like that ever on Idol and at the end Paula was hanging on him for dear life. I bet his wife wanted to punch her lights out.

I guess you never know who may go after some of the ones they voted off this year. Still no one wows me, and yet they keep saying this is the best year ever, they have all gone tone deaf.

Joys of Spring?

According the calendar Spring was almost a month ago. My grass is that pretty thick spring green that needs mowed but I can't cos the rain and/or snow won't let me yet. I have dandelions in my flower beds, aren't their yellow flowers pretty? My trees are budding out, but yet we had snow Saturday and Sunday. At least I dont live in Minnesota where they had a foot of white, egads.

Also the city has decided now those of us with sprinkler systems may be polluting the sewers so we have to have someone come out and check to see if we have a backflow valve and if not we have to have one installed and oh yea we have to have it checked annually. I knew when they put those new water meters in the house they were fishing. It has to be done my May 7 but hey it froze last night and if you think I am going to have someone come out and turn on my sprinklers during winter think again.

And oh yea one of my rat bastard neighbors turned me in cos I have a pile of sticks in my yard, let me see I did a fall cleanup day and it pretty much turned to crap since then so I did not get them to the yard waste place, I know who you are cos you are the only ones who can see it. They are piled neatly and not hurting anything so I think I know whose yard will get my used kitty litter. These people stay home all day and apparently have nothing better to do. ANother letter fromthe city telling me I have 10 days to clean it up or I go to jail and pay a fine. Lets see if I dont get my backflow valve checked I lose my water but guess it does not matter cos I wont need it in jail. Makes me want to move to the country.

Recycled Toilet Paper

As I was thumbing through the coupon sections of the paper yesterday there is a half page on recycled paper goods. I looked closer and realized it was paper that maybe should not be recycled? It is called Sunrise and the caption says Kinder to the Environment, Now, you can do your part... I think I already did when I flushed it in the first place. So now I have to ask is there someone somewhere in the sewer waiting like the Catcher on a baseball team at the end of the pipeline catching all the toilet paper in the world that comes swooping down the line? It even has the Good Housekeeping seal of approval, when is the last time you saw that on a product? Kind of creeps me out to think of recycled toilet paper. So I went to their website and they sell toilet paper, napkins, and paper towels. So if I wipe my face on a napkin does that mean I could have wiped other body parts a month or so ago. I think I will stay away from sunrise toilet paper, it just creeps me out.

Idol Gives Back

What kind of drivel was that for 2 1/2 hours? I came home crashed on the couch and finished a baby afghan for a charity so thought I would put the show on. Finally 45 minutes into the show they had somebody good on:Heart; but they skanked it up with Fergie, wew is she UGLY. Hey Fergie slither on back under the rock, you will never be the caliber of the Wilson sisters. This was my first experience with Miley Cyrus-omg she can NOT sing and wants to be Fergie really bad, she is only 15. How precocious is she? And they not only let her sing once but twice. What was that crap Mariah Carey did? The best part of the show was Robin Williams and Annie Lennox (the way she sang that song you could tell she had really been moved by what she saw). I hope they got lots of money cos the only thing that moved me was to get up and change the channel or find something else to do, snoozer it was.

My favorite Aunt

My fav aunt was here for a week, too bad I was sick and could not enjoy the visit as much as I would have liked but... stuff happens.

I found out where I work in the caves her great grandfather owned much of the land over us and he raises Merino sheep which makes some of the best knitting wool.

We did attend an embroidered pincushion class which was fun, and I do like this teacher. We just visited and crafted which is just fine.

Sinus Infection

For those one or two people who read my senseless ramblings here i have had a sinus infection so nothing from me for awhile.

So did you hear TSA wants to provide mood lighting and muzak? like that is gonna make them anymore pleasant and less surly. They say it is for us waiting in line for them to abuse us. Have you ever met a nice TSA person? Can't say that I have. Talk about a Federal agency that should be called in for fraud, waste, and abuse hotline. where is my number?

I also read today that many government employees have been abusing their gov credit cards, I wish i knew I could be buying yarn on mine instead of me paying for it. Can you believe the things they bought, I saw one paid for a prostitute, can we send our cards to Spitzer for approval?

On to Idol last night, Paula put the girls away, no one wants to see them. Why is she on the show? She never has anything to say other than you look pretty or you are true to yourself? What? She just needs to be one of those one hit wonders and gravitate to the dark side and stay.
I give Michael a B+; Syesha just bores me-B-; Jason disappointed me however the judges loved him C; Kristy B+; David C did not work for me B-; Carly did not work for me but she looked good B-; David A A; and Brooke rushed the songs B-. I am glad Ramiele went home last week, she was such a baby. Let's see I would send Syesha home this week, really I would have sent her and Brooke packing a few weeks ago but I am not in charge of Idol.
